To be a LASIK candidate you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a stable prescription for at least one year
- Have no corneal or retinal disease
- Not currently be pregnant
If you are considering LASIK, we offer a FREE LASIK consultation with Dr. Greenberg. This consultation, which lasts about one hour, is designed to determine your candidacy for the procedure. We will begin by performing some preliminary diagnostic testing and you will meet with our LASIK counselor who will explain the procedure in detail.
Shortly after, Dr. Greenberg will carefully examine your eyes and discuss your test results with you. We believe in individualized care and will spend time getting to know you and your specific needs. In order to determine if LASIK is right for you, we will ask you about your hobbies, sports, lifestyle, occupation, and most importantly your expectations of LASIK. Dr. Greenberg will then let you know if you are a candidate, explain your treatment options, and personally answer any questions you have.
